Yeonjung Lee Joins the University of Calgary

New Assistant Professor Brings Expertise in Mental Health and Social Justice

The Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary is pleased to welcome Yeonjung Lee as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Lee brings a wealth of experience in the areas of mental health, social justice, and anti-oppressive practice. She has a passion for working with marginalized populations and is committed to research that promotes equity and inclusion. Dr. Lee's research interests include the mental health of immigrant and refugee youth, the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in the child welfare system, and the development of culturally responsive mental health services.

Dr. Lee is a strong advocate for social justice and has worked extensively with community organizations and government agencies to develop and implement innovative programs that address the needs of vulnerable populations. She is also a passionate educator and is committed to providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to become effective social workers.
