Dodgers Landon Knack Homers Twice In Mlb Debut To Power Win Over Marlins

Dodgers' Landon Knack homers twice in MLB debut to power win over Marlins

A new Dodger star is born

The Los Angeles Dodgers' 11-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night was a memorable one for many reasons. Not only did the Dodgers extend their winning streak to six games, but they also saw the emergence of a new star in outfielder Landon Knack.

Knack, who was making his Major League Baseball debut, went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs. He became the first Dodger to homer twice in his debut since Alex Verdugo in 2017.

Knack's first home run came in the first inning off Marlins starter Edward Cabrera. He then hit a two-run homer off reliever Huascar Brazoban in the third inning.

Dodgers' offense continues to impress

The Dodgers' offense has been one of the most productive in baseball this season, and they continued to swing the bats well against the Marlins.

In addition to Knack's two homers, Will Smith and Max Muncy also went deep for the Dodgers. Smith's home run was his 10th of the season, while Muncy's was his 11th.

The Dodgers have now scored at least five runs in each of their last six games. They lead the National League in runs per game (5.4) and on-base percentage (.342).

Urias earns the win

Julio Urias started for the Dodgers and earned the win after allowing two runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out seven batters and walked one.

Urias improved to 3-3 with a 2.93 ERA this season. He has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the Dodgers' rotation and has played a key role in their success.

The Dodgers will continue their series against the Marlins on Wednesday night. Right-hander Tony Gonsolin will start for the Dodgers, while right-hander Elieser Hernandez will start for the Marlins.
